Traditional schools & sports teams regularly participate in fundraising efforts for equipment, supplies, and travel. So, WHY NOT MOTO? This sport offers amazing benefits for the development of our youth into successful and well equipped adults which is why our support is so important. Although racing programs vary greatly, most motocross competitors have the same expenditures that can quickly add up beyond typical recreational and school sports.
Costs often include:
-
trainers/coaches
-
conditioning
-
parts & maintenance
-
fuel
-
entry fees
-
memberships
-
travel
-
pit support
-
...not to mention the dirtbikes!
This event is an opportunity for motocross athletes to actively participate in raising funds for competing in the sport they love so much. They will get to be proud of their contribution to their racing program outside of the pressures of manufacturer contingency programs and industry sponsorships that are tied to podium results, typically reserved for the top tier, elite riders... AND ... they get to have fun and get great exercise in doing so!
Want to make this EXTRA FUN? Put a team together to compete against likeminded groups for cool prizes!
*Teams must have a minimum of 4 participants & must register under the same Team Name.
DETAILS
-
After registration, all fundraising participants will receive a unique URL to send to family and friends that will track their individual / team efforts. Pledges may be collected online up until the start of the event.
-
A flat, dirt 1/4 mile course will be laid out in the Glen Helen Raceway parking area near the Short Course Grandstands.
-
For Per Lap Pledges, totals will be calculated based on the number of laps completed ONE HOUR. These will be tracked during the event and recorded the following day to determine the gross amount of funds raised.
-
Of the total donations that your runner is able to generate through pledges, 75% will be paid out directly to each participant (or their parent/guardian). The remaining 25% of funds raised will go toward administration costs, refreshments, event set-up and (hopefully) future events. For example: If you earn $300 in pledges, $225 will be paid out to the rider.
